Terms of Service

Effective date: October 25, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Luke Marvin ("Laude," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Laude, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Laude scores parts of your life from the habits and data you log or allow it to read, and blocks apps you choose during focus sessions. Scores, ranks and projections are motivational estimates based on fixed standards. They aren't medical, health, financial, or professional advice, and they aren't a judgment of your worth. Talk to a qualified professional before making health or financial decisions.

2. Purchases and subscriptions

All payments are processed by Apple through in-app purchase; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to track your subscription status.

Laude's subscription renews automatically at the price shown at purchase unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Laude account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If pricing changes, existing subscribers are notified under Apple's rules before a new price takes effect.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Laude. You agree to keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us right away.

4. Your content

You own everything you enter in Laude. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, back up, and display it to you. We don't acquire any right to share, publish, or sell your content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Ending the relationship

You can stop using Laude anytime and permanently delete your account and data from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections 1, 4, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.

7. Disclaimers

Laude is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. App blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time framework and may not work in every situation. We can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Laude. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

10. Apple

Because Laude is distributed through the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Laude and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
